​Dale Sawyer is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) who understands that mental health is a journey, and has a passion for walking that path alongside her patients by helping them find balance, resilience, and a more fulfilling life. Dale’s goal is to partner with each patient to develop evidence-based and individualized care to fit their unique needs and life circumstances while creating a safe, supportive environment where patients feel heard and understood. Dale is currently accepting patients virtually across Virginia, offering flexible scheduling options to accommodate patients’ busy lives. Dale provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, individualized treatment plans, medication management, and supportive psychotherapy for a wide range of mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, psychotic disorders, and more.

Dale received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from Old Dominion University, providing her with a strong educational background. She has over a decade of nursing experience in cardiac stepdown, home health, and infusion nursing, which has given her valuable insight into the complex relationship between physical and mental health, especially for those managing multiple comorbidities. Dale ensures a holistic approach that fosters trust, healing, and long-term well-being.
